Walton Shop Coat 008
FEM 008
Walton Shop Coat
The Walton is an original work jacket developed over dozens of prototypes and small revisions. It draws from French chore coats, American utility clothing, and Japanese workwear, while remaining distinctly its own.
FEM 008 explores the Walton as a surface for hand appliqué and embroidery. A two-piece indigo orb is built from contrasting antique Japanese textiles and secured with hand stitched sashiko thread. The surrounding hand stitching extends beyond the appliqué, suggesting depth of field while radiating across the back of the garment.
Built from 10.5 oz Japanese crosshatch denim, each jacket is cut and sewn individually in Los Angeles. The silhouette is intentionally generous, designed to accommodate a wide range of body types while maintaining a consistent form.
The Walton is designed to be lived in. Like the garments that inspired it, it is intended to soften, fade, and accumulate its own history over time.
FEM 008. One of one. Original Walton pattern. 10.5 oz Japanese crosshatch denim. Hand appliqué and hand embroidery. Vintage faux horn buttons with shell top button. Keyhole buttonholes. Cut and sewn in Los Angeles. One-size silhouette.
